It’s tough to navigate the waters when you’re just starting out as a cryotherapy or recovery business. We’ve been around for a while, we’ve seen more than 350 independent cryotherapy businesses get their start and we know it’s possible.

Your own character will be reflected in the face of your business.

Still wondering where to get started? Here are the 3 things every new cryotherapy business owner should know:

  1. Education will be your #1 hurdle. Even though whole body cryotherapy is now mainstreamed and growing fast, most people still have never heard of it, don’t know how it works, or have never tried it for themselves. This means that your main priority is getting your message out, not selling. This also means that competition in your area is not your biggest threat, but one of your biggest allies. The more people educating, the better off you will be. Now you just have to make sure your education is more impactful and your client experience and value is the best.
  1. Don’t oversell and underperform. The most expensive thing you can do in business is oversell and then have the lofty expectations not met by your product or service. WBC is fantastic, but it is not a cure-all. It is not medical, so don’t make medical claims like weight loss or anti-aging, and stay away from words like cure or heal. It is a therapy. It also affects people in different ways. The client will become the expert on what it does for them, but telling them it will fix EVERY issue is a quick rush to sell and doesn’t put your client’s best interest first. It is a great therapy tool with great results all over the world; allow people to find out how it works for them. The results will convince them, and they will stay with you when this happens.
  1. The business will be a reflection of you. If you aren’t disciplined, ordered, caring, selfless, and attentive to detail, then don’t expect your business to be. Your own character will be reflected in the face of your business. Everything you want your business to be, you must be first. If you aren’t, then hire someone who is while you continue to improve in those areas yourself. Most businesses fail because they aren’t offering what the public needs in a way that is intriguing and satisfying.
