Spot Cryotherapy FAQ

The following are the most commonly asked questions regarding Spot Cryotherapy. If you have any further questions, please call or stop into any CryoUSA Active Recovery Center to speak with a CryoUSA employee.

1. How long does a session take?
Typical sessions run for 10 minutes. To receive the appropriate benefits of the Spot Cryo, we suggest to not exceed 30 minute sessions.

2. Can I use insurance as a form of payment?
No, we do not accept insurance policies. You can always ask your insurance provider if they can reimburse you, but we do not accept insurance for payment. Many of our clients use their health savings account cards just like a credit card.

3. What should I wear?
There is nothing in particular you should wear. If the area you will be getting a spot treatment on is typically covered by clothing, we suggest you wear something loose or bring additional clothing so that the tech can easily access the area.

4. What would I use Spot Cryo for?
Spot Cryo is most commonly used for isolated areas of swelling and inflammation from a variety of causes such as injections, a tough workout that has resulted in pain and inflammation, an injury, or post-surgical condition.

5. Is there any condition I cannot have to use Spot Cryo?
Yes, there are a few limitations. Please speak with your CryoUSA Recovery Specialist about contraindications.

6. Is there an age limit?
There is no age limit to using Spot Cryo.
