LIIT (Low Intensity Interval Training). While HIIT has been around a little longer, LIIT is relatively new and becoming more and more popular. It will still burn the same calories as a solid HIIT session will, but will take you about double the time to complete. The benefit? It can be as simple as taking a walk, but in intervals. The intensity is much lower, and it can be performed more often as it doesn’t require as much recovery between sessions.

VR (Virtual Reality) Workouts. That’s right. VR has made its way to the fitness scene. VR fitness means you can exercise in an exotic location, run across the world, and participate in global events without ever leaving your home. It’ll even keep track of your activity, steps, calories, mileage, and more so you can get the full picture.

Its health benefits and multiple variations makes it a great choice for anyone. Whether it’s hot yoga, yoga pilates, or power yoga, you’re likely to find a studio on every corner, and you’re likely to find its benefits astounding.

Recovery. While everything else on this list presents you with a myriad of choices to make when it comes to your fitness, the one aspect you can’t ignore is recovery. People are learning more and more how vital recovery is to your overall health and fitness, which can explain the popularity of recovery modalities like cryotherapy and light therapy. Recovery is so much more than ice baths and stretching (although you should never skip a good stretch), and many individuals are making this a regular part of their fitness routine.
